Unit Research made delivery quality something it can check
A 17-person team running more than 200 projects at once, with over 5,000 panel members, moved off in-house tooling. Member, incentive and billing records now sit in one place — and when a delivery is questioned, there is a record to check it against instead of a conversation to have from memory.
Records lived in different places, and had to be joined up by hand
A self-built system, and a lot of manual reconciliation.
Unit Research Global Inc runs B2B, B2C and healthcare research with a team of 17, keeping more than 200 projects live at the same time. It had built its own system to run on.
Every change had to go through development and wait its turn. Member profiles, participation records and incentive payouts sat in different places and had to be reconciled by hand. Checking which projects a single member had taken part in meant opening several files. And incentive and wallet records were tallied manually, which is where errors tend to start.
Company at a glance
Ready on a subscription — and it tidied up how the company runs internally too
Organization management turned out to matter as much as project management.
The features Unit Research needed were already built and ready the moment they subscribed — no build phase. Standard white-label setup, brand configuration within Sampora’s existing modules, own-domain support and basic launch assistance are included in the subscription at no separate charge. Support responded quickly, and they were running without a long preparation period.
One benefit they didn't expect: the organization-management side turned out to help a great deal with running the company internally, not just with running projects.
One operating record, from member to settlement
One chain, one record.
Profiles, groups and levels held in one place.
Every project a member took part in, on one history.
Completes reviewed against the project record.
Wallet, member finance and bills built from the same records.
Delivery records that reference the same chain.
Records exportable when you need them elsewhere.
The results Unit Research reported
In their words, with their numbers.
Member profiles, participation, incentives and bills all sit together — no cross-checking between separate systems.
A member's participation history is visible directly, instead of opening several files.
Incentive and wallet records line up, so most of the manual reconciliation is gone.
Member finance and bills are readable in one view.
A questioned delivery can be checked against the session record rather than argued from memory.
Time that went into administering projects now goes into delivering them.
Something they can check, rather than just accept
Records kept as the work happens, not reconstructed afterwards.
Before, if a client raised a problem with completes, there was no way to go back and look — the team simply had to accept it. Now the session records and the quality analysis show what actually happened on their side, so a disputed delivery can be checked against a record rather than argued from memory.
The same records work in the other direction too: they surface panel members who consistently answer carelessly, so quality can be managed before it reaches a client.
Session recording and in-platform quality analysis apply to surveys completed on Sampora — for Unit Research, that means its own panel members.
What the records cover
“We don't have to maintain a system of our own — the features we need are ready once you subscribe, and when something comes up they respond fast.”
